Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is a world-class facility under development near Charlotte. The Garden will eventually encompass 450 acres, making it one of the largest botanical gardens in North America.
Schiele Museum of Natural History Schiele may be best known for largest collection of land mammal specimens in the South East.  Halls of geology, paleontology, archeology, mineralogy and anthropology are housed here.
American Military Museum The museum, founded by American Legion Post 23 houses a military section and Drum and Bugle section.
Gaston County Museum This museum celebrates Gaston County's heritage through it's 19th century arts and artifacts.
King's Mountain State Park This 6,141 acre park features scenic drives and nature and hiking trails.  Swimming, fishing and boating also available.
Crowder's Mountain State Park This 2,148 acrea park is characterized by rugged peaks and breath taking views.
Belmont Abbey Belmont Abbey College, founded in 1876, has been named one of the country's leading, private liberal arts colleges by U.S. News and World Report. The campus consists of the College, the Monastery, and the Abbey Basilica, which can be found on its sprawling 650 acres of picturesque landscape. There are approximatedly 20 monks, who live on campus, teach courses, and serve as primary keepers of the Benedictine rule. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the College and Abbey Basilica greet thousands of visitors each year. The Basilica is open throughout the day and everyone is welcome to Mass and Divine Office. (A mass schedule is provided in the vestibule.)

Mint Museum The Mint Museum of Art has diverse permanent collections and changing exhibitions of regional, national and international artists and cultures. Activities for adults and children include art classes, lectures, tours and independent films.
Latta Plantation Historic Latta Plantation was a successful cotton plantation and is now a living history farm.  Visitors experience what life was like for planters, slaves, and yeoman farmers of the North Carolina back country in the early 19th century.
Carolina Raptor Center The Carolina Raptor Center exists to provide public education on environmental issues and about the importance of raptors to our environment, to care for sick, injured and orphaned raptor, and to conduct and contribute to research about birds of prey. Discovery Place Hands-on science and technology museum. Permanent exhibits include Challenger Learning Center, three-story rain forest, aquarium, Touch Pool, Life Center, Science Circus, Weather Center, Charlotte Observer Omnimax Theatre and Kelly Space Voyager Planetarium
Blumenthal Performing Arts Center Theater! Music! Dance! There's something for everyone at the North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts Center and Spirit Square Center for Arts & Education!
